The Disaster Management Center, Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute Shillong was established in June 2006 with 2 (two) faculty members.

Aims & Objectives

  • Sensitization of various Stakeholders on Disaster Management through workshops and training programmes for capacity building.
  • To promote preparedness and mitigation measures.
  • To enhance the capability of the State to deal with disasters.
  • To create awareness amongst the people about disasters.
  • Development of IEC material.
